From its beginning in 1890 with a gift of land, National Lutheran Communities & Services (NLCS) began what has become a model for senior living. Honoring our mission, and drawing from a faith-based heritage, NLCS supports choice and opportunity in partnership with older adults. In keeping with our tradition, NLCS today continues to serve through our senior living communities, programs and services to reimagine aging.
For more than 130 years, the NLCS benevolent care program has provided financial assistance to residents who have been good financial stewards yet have outlived their resources and can no longer afford the services or care they need. Guided by our mission to serve, and drawing from that faith-filled history, we view stewardship as a heartfelt way to assist older adults. Learn more about our mission with our 2022 Annual Report.
